DAVE DRAPER, the legendary Blond Bomber of bodybuilding, underwent coronary bypass surgery (arterial grafts plus valve repair) on Thursday, February 22.  We’re happy to report that the surgery went well and the patient is recovering not only nicely but remarkably.  In fact, Dave – accompanied by his watchful and faithful wife Laree – was back in the gym just 25 days after the surgical procedure!

All of us at Natural Champion wish Dave a continued and speedy recovery…and our best wishes and thanks to Laree for not only helping nurse the Bomber back to health but keeping his many fans worldwide informed every step of the way.

THE HAWK Was In Town:  Charles Hawkins, drug free Mr. Universe of 2004 and our very first cover feature (May, 2006) was in town to appear at the Natural Champion booth at the SNFB Georgia State Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure and Physique Championships held on April 7^th.  The contest was a complete sell-out, with standing room only.

The Hawk also gave seminars at Gold’s Gym in Cartersville and Main Event Fitness in Marietta.

We’ll have a complete report on the contest plus more on the Hawk’s visit to the Atlanta area in next month’s issue.

Next Month’s Issue of Natural Champion Magazine will mark our first anniversary.  It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we brought our venture to the internet.  We’ve made a lot of new friends, renewed old friendships and acquaintances, and hopefully along the way have been able to bring information and inspiration to our readers in cyberspace that will help them in their efforts to attain maximum physical performance, and appearance, without using harmful and illegal performance enhancing drugs.
